I noticed that in iTunes, you have the choice between music CD and data CD, maybe it's the same for DVD's.
Anyway, I recommend you use Nero.
Never had any problems with it and I use DVD
+R which seems to work better for.... everything (movies, music, games,...)
You're glove box player is only for CD and won't wortk with a DVD
